New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Donnajay,
Welcome!
The basic palette option is available in 5a. It should default to it if you're choosing crochet.
Melanie,
I can draw a bit.. But we have these overhead projectors (if you know what they are). You simply put something in it, that is printed on transparent plastic, and they you turn the maschine on, and you will now see the pattern on your wall.. You can now simply draw after the shadows that the maschine is casting..
Lavender is a beautiful color.. I wouldn't dare paint an entire room in that color (but only because I would be afraid I wanted to change it shortly after)..
I'm not in to the almost white, but not white colors either.. They all look the same.. o.O
Oh come on, we both know it's your biggest dream.. A brothel like room in your house.. :p You can even complete the look by installing red lamps and so on :p LOOOOOL
Oh the dark color in the bedroom.. My mother has this beautiful, almost black, dark gray in her bedroom.. All white furniture.. I love it..
The room gets a lot of natural light, so it doesn't seem dark dark, if you know what I mean..
Glad you like the sweaters.. They are all knitted by my mother
I have a ton more, but the boys grew out of them..
She made one with a dachshund going all around the waist once.. Super cute..

Samberto,
You're so welcome!
DMC adding new colors is certainly
something wonderful...I'm loving the purple and fuchsia
shades!
Hi! I am new here but have done cross stitch before. I
have been cleaning out stuff and discovered a project I started
probably about 20 years ago, and it just never got traction because
it was way too complex!
I am going to
abandon that project, since I am now older and even with the extra
magnification, well, it is just too hard, because the cloth is way
too dense. I think it may be 24! What was I thinking - ah, the
beauty of youth's exuberance! LOL...
So, I
am working on pulling out the very small area I had started, and
probably will freecycle the cloth to someone who can use it, and
until I can get something more manageable, I did find some sheets
of plastic canvas from the days when I was making tissue box
holders and the like - remember those days? Like maybe 30 years ago
or more?
So, my daughter's boyfriend has a
saying I think makes a really funny family slogan, and I want to
cross stitch it onto the plastic canvas for something fun to do,
and I came here to use the design tool. So, that is why I joined
and I am looking forward to being here!
Scubamom,
Welcome!
You may want to
look at sites that provide free clip art for personal use. Since
you're not looking to make patterns to sell, my guess is there are
people who have such clip art and would be happy to let you use it
for your project.
Even better, if
you can draw your own, then no need to use other people's clip art!
